STEPPENWOLF

Steppenwolf evolved from a down and dirty Canadian biker blues band called Sparrow,
unrepentantly into S&M, Hermann Hesse, smoking grass, and bashing Uncle Sam.
During the Sixties they moved to San Francisco, did a lot of drugs, wore psychedelic Nehru jackets,
had a couple of big hits (no "Born To Be Wild" or "Magic Carpet Ride" here),
then went back to wearing greasy leather outfits and making biker blues albums.
